A New Creation

—Ephesians 4:24, AMP
Here again Paul specifically states that we must choose to walk as new creations: regenerated and renewed to be like Jesus. The Master said in John 14:12, TLB, “In solemn truth I tell you, anyone believing in me shall do the same miracles I have done, and even greater ones, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask him for anything, using my name, and I will do it, for this will bring praise to the Father because of what I, the Son, will do for you.”
The mighty power at work in us is not to be hoarded but we are to release it to others. The gifts and callings that God has given us are for the building of His Kingdom and to fulfill His purposes on the earth. We are to continue the Master’s work in our generation: heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the leper, and cast out demons in His name. His new creations are to represent Christ to a lost and hurting world. We are to yearn for the greater works of His mighty power to be manifested by every member of the Body of Christ. And we should encourage one another as each of us steps forward in this pursuit.
