I overflow with praise when I come before you, for the anointing of your presence satisfies me like nothing else. You are such a rich banquet of pleasure to my soul.
Dear Ones: Your Presence Satisfies Me! The theme of this psalm is: Joy in the Fellowship of God. David penned these verses when he was in the wilderness of Judah. He was running from King Saul’s murderous intentions as an outcast among his own brethren. Yet, he tells God that Your presence satisfies me.
David entered into God’s presence with overflowing praise seeking not only His presence but the anointing that comes with it. Filled with the exuberance of the moment, David declared You are a rich banquet of pleasure to my soul.
Consider these things today. The enemy wants us to believe that our troubles are greater than what anyone else has ever experienced. But we have David’s example declaring that God presence satisfies his soul even as he was hiding in a cave and hunted unjustly as an outlaw. As history reveals, David went from being an outlaw to being king. So, we can conclude, that what God has written in our books of life will be accomplished, if we rejoice in His fellowship, daily.
Can you truly confess to the Father that Your presence satisfies me?
Declare: “Father, even in my current state of affairs, I confess that Your presence satisfies me. I desire to partake of the rich banquet of Your anointing that my soul craves. Help me to discern Your presence even in the most pressure filled moments of my day. I am grateful for every breath you give me to use to express my love and devotion to You. Praise God!” Have a satisfied day in Jesus’ name.
