Those who go to God Most High for safety will be protected by the Almighty.
Dear Ones: Will Be Protected! This psalm of David is a very familiar one. It is frequently invoked in troublous times. Let us look at the first verse and see what it says. God’s protection comes as a response to something that we do. We are to go to Him first and seek entry into the refuge under His wings.
If we just rattle off the words of David without considering what they mean, then we miss a great opportunity of greater intimacy with the Lord. David was a man after God’s own heart. He desired what every believer has today: Christ in us. This psalm seeks not only God’s protection but intimacy with Him. Yes, entry into God’s personal space.
The term, personal space, refers to the invisible bubble around an individual that they consider their own. This varies from person to person and is influenced by cultural norms, personal preferences, and the nature of the relationship. However, our Father God invites us to enter into His personal space where we will be protected. He desires that we come like David seeking to know Him and His heart’s desires.
Declare: “Father, I come to You knowing that I will be protected and loved as I enter into Your secret place. I want to know You, worship You, and rest in You. In the chaotic times, I think You for protecting me, my family, and my nation from evil attacks. With my freewill, I choose to rest in Your goodness. Thank You!” Have a safe and prosperous day in Jesus’ name.
