But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Dear Ones: Wait on the Lord! Those are hard words to warm up to in this generation of instant things. Waiting means a delay and not instant gratification. But read further. In the delay or waiting time strength is renewed. What is strengthened? Faith feeds off of patience and hope and grows strong. Resulting in a firm resolve not to be moved or give up on the God-given promise.
What comes next is the receiving of eagles’ wings. Like the eagle using the thermals to soar up high, the waiting ones ride the thermals of faith, hope, and patience rising above the forces of darkness. As they rise, they begin to see more clearly. Spiritual eagle vision comes to them. Their stamina is increased for the long journey on the road to become more Christ-like. They will not faint but will press in to receive the fullness of His promise to them.
May you learn to wait on the Lord and prosper in the times of delay. Grow your eagle wings to rise above the chaos of these days. Exercise your faith muscle to improve your spiritual stamina even in the dark times. Remember, He walks every step with you. Have an eagle-soaring day in the Lord. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
