Two Foundations

Now on Rumble: Two Foundations

Paul is continuing to move our videos off of YouTube and onto Rumble. This is a precautionary measure because YouTube has been known to be unfriendly to the Christian posters on their site.

In this video, we continue to study the Sermon on the Mount: Two Foundations. The teachings contained in this sermon were the ones that the Lord taught wherever He went. He taught and then demonstrated the power of the Kingdom He taught about. The two foundations are the sinking sand or the Rock that cannot be moved. Here is an excerpt from the video transcript to give you an idea of the lesson content.

Two Foundations Transcript Excerpt

“He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Matthew 13:9, NKJV). The Lord often uttered this phrase after teaching the people. The willing ones were the ones who kept their ears open to hear and receive the truth of His teachings. Those who were willing to hear the truth could not stop there, but were challenged to put the truth into action.

The ones who heard His teachings and changed their way of living to conform to His words were compared to a wise builder who built his house on a solid rock foundation. If the foundation of a house is laid on stable rock, it will endure through all kinds of weather. The wise man invests the extra time and expense to be sure that his work will not be in vain when the first storm comes along. Paul testifies, “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value” (1 Corinthians 3:11-13, NLT).
