Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me.
Dear Ones: Trust in Him! These are the words of King Jesus to His disciples then and now. His words of comfort and truth urge us not to be afraid of what is happening around us.
He knew that within hours His disciples were going to be traumatized by what they saw with their natural eyes. But He knew the outcome of His travail: Resurrection; mission completed; mankind reconciled back to the Father. WOW!
Yes, we are living in troubling times. Violence, crime, and unspeakable things are happening that boggle the mind. But the Lord God is at work, never doubt it. The storm will not last forever. Besides that, our Lord is in the boat with us in the midst of the storms of life. Look to Him and realize He is the One that calms the storms: internal and external. Don’t let your heart give into fear or troubles. Believe that He intends to take you through to the other side. He is the only One Who can bring you out shining with His glory.
Trust in Him with your whole heart. The darkness cannot overcome the light in you if you will not fear. Don’t think the wilderness is your home. You are just passing through it. Beyond the wilderness is a place called “blessing” where you celebrate your victory. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
