Now on Rumble: To the Overcomer Video

Paul is continuing to move our videos off of YouTube and onto Rumble. This is a precautionary measure because YouTube has been known to be unfriendly to the Christian posters on their site.

In this video, we continue to study the Sermon on the Mount: To the Overcomer. The teachings contained in this sermon were the ones that the Lord taught wherever He went. He taught and then demonstrated the power of the Kingdom He taught about. The people He spoke to (then and now) were beaten down by the weight of religious laws and political laws. They did not feel like overcomers, in fact, just the opposite. But through Christ, we enter into a new Kingdom where we become overcomers through Him and in Him. Here is an excerpt from the video transcript to give you an idea of the lesson content.

An overcomer is one who overcomes. Overcome means to get the better of in a struggle or conflict; conquer; defeat; to prevail over (opposition, debility, temptations, etc.); to gain the victory; win; vanquish. After hearing this definition, we see how the Lord Jesus is the epitome of an overcomer. He is the Victorious One Who conquered death, hell, and the grave. Since His eternal-life spark was implanted in us at the new birth, we are overcomers through Him by our new-birth-right.

For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]. Who is the one who is victorious and overcomes the world? It is the one who believes and recognizes the fact that Jesus is the Son of God.
—1 John 5:4-5, AMP
