And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You.
Dear Ones: Those Who Know! Yāḏaʿ is the Hebrew word used here. It means to perceive and see; find out and discern; to discriminate; distinguish; to know by experience. This knowing is not a cursory knowing of some fact like knowing the name of a certain flower. It is an experiential knowledge of the depth, breath, and length of His name and nature. This can only be experienced when we seek Him with all our hearts.
As we press in to seek and to truly experience His nature and person, we shall not be disappointed. He does not abandon us but rejoices in our quest to know Him as He desires to be known. Like a good natural father enjoys the companionship of his children, so too, does our heavenly Father. He delights to reveal Himself to us. Can’t you hear Him saying to you the words of Jeremiah 29:11-12, NLT? “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.In those days when you pray, I will listen.”
He Knows Those Who Know
Our Good Father does not abandon His children. Be certain that He held nothing back from us to the point of sending His Son to the Cross to pay for the sin of mankind. He watches over us and knows the depth of our hearts. Those who know Him are assured of His goodness and mercy toward them every day.
Declaration: “I am one of those who know Him and call Him my Father. Father, I thank you for the Cross and Your great salvation plan. Help me to stay on the path you plotted out for my life. I desire to share Your goodness and mercy to those in my sphere of influence. In Christ, I am an overcomer. Praise the Lord!” Have a blessed day and weekend in Jesus’ name.
