Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
Dear Ones: The Power that Works! Our Father God never slumbers nor sleeps; He is continually at work. He works in nature, in the spirit realm, and in us. Every born-again spirit filled child of God is endued with His power which is not dormant. However, we must learn how to work with Him by faith.
This verse is part of the closing of Paul’s Ephesian 3:14-21 prayer. He prayed that believers awaken to appreciate the mystery of the indwelling presence and His power they received when they were saved. The intense passion of his prayer is revealed in Ephesians 3:19, NKJV. “To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
The Power of Love that Works
The power that works in us is the fullness of God we received at our new birth. It is the power of the love of Christ that holds us in His hands as He works to conform us into His image. The enemy is also at work to bring doubt and unbelief into our souls. He points to our unworthy past, but he is a liar. Christ points us to His worthiness and the awesomeness of the power at work in us that makes us overcomers.
Declare: “Thank You, Lord, for the power that works in me and delivers me from the power of darkness. When the enemy attacks with his lies, Your power at work in me rises up to defeat him. I am the head and not the tail; I am filled with Your power. Your overcoming power rises up and brings me victory in every circumstance I face today. I shout, ‘I am whole, healed, and delivered from this adverse situation in Jesus’ name.’ Praise God!” Have a blessed, healed, and overcoming day in Jesus’ name.
