The Place of His Presence

Give me your lantern and compass, give me a map, So I can find my way to the sacred mountain, to the place of your presence, To enter the place of worship, meet my exuberant God, Sing my thanks with a harp, magnificent God, my God.
Psalm 43:3 (MSG)

Dear Ones: The Place of Your Presence! The psalmist calls out to God for help knowing that the only place of safety is in His presence. In these difficult times, it benefits us to imitate the psalmist by calling out to the Lord for guidance.

The Master invites us to ask Him in Matthew 7:7a, 8a, NASB, and how He will respond. “Ask, and it will be given to you; … For everyone who asks receives.” We can ask Him to guide us to the place of His manifested presence. Holy Spirit is our Guide and our Map. This place exists; it is not a fictional place. It is a destination—the secret place where we commune with Him on His terms, not ours. It is like the place where the natural branch is connected to the natural vine. A place of melding and complete union: Spirit to spirit.

Now, that you know you can enter into a deeper union with the Lord, will you ask to enter? Better yet, will you answer His knock as revealed in Revelation 3:20, NASB? “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” The Master seeks your full attention even as you seek the place of His presence.

Declare: “Lord, I seek to enter the place of Your presence. You said: to ask, to seek, and to knock using my freewill to enter into the secret place. Holy Spirit, You are my map; I am determined to follow Your leadership. I raise my voice in praise and thanksgiving as I enter into this holy place.” Have a blessed day in Jesus’ name.
