The Lordship of Christ

The Lordship of Christ

In this lesson we look deeper into the lessons learned from the Ephesians’ Message: The Lordship of Christ. To a Westerner, “Lord” means a boss, an authority over us, someone in charge. However, we don’t always follow our boss’s instructions because we like to “do things our own way,” and we think that this is acceptable as long as the job gets done. But that is not how the Lord sees things from His perspective. Here is an excerpt from the video transcript to encourage you to watch the video.

(Meditations on the lessons on the Ephesus Message)
God is an omniscient manager. He determines what He wants to do, when He wants to do it, how He wants it done, and who He chooses to work with Him to accomplish His purposes. Since He is Lord, He has the right to establish these things. In these lessons, we saw that Jesus came as the Head of the Church to give a job evaluation to the congregations at Ephesus. He had the authority to do this and still possesses that authority today—to evaluate both the Church as a whole, each congregation, and each individual believer. Not only are our works rightly judged by our Righteous Lord, but also our intentions and the attitudes of our hearts.
It can be intimidating to go before our boss for an evaluation, and it is certainly no less daunting to face the Lord of Glory and ask for His assessment of our lives. Intimidating or not, it is extremely valuable to be aware of how we measure up with Him, because He is the only true judge, and when we stand before Him at the Judgment we want to hear those wonderful words, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” (Matthew 25:21a, NIV84).

I respectfully ask you to please watch and share this video. It is vitally important to share what the Holy Spirit is saying to believers in this hour. A simple share to one of the groups you subscribe to will do a lot to get the videos out.

In addition, I hope you will use the references below the video as a jumping off point for your personal study. The Spirit will guide you and lead you.
