The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.
Dear Ones: The Lord gives Strength! Strength is the power to be strong to endure; the power to resist force or attack. This is wonderful news because the forces of darkness are constantly waging warfare against the children of God.
As we read this verse, we understand that David received strength to be strong from God. He faced many enemies foreign and domestic. But the forces that drove his enemies were also spiritual. He needed God’s strength to prevail and prevail he did. Even when he sinned, David was quick to repent and draw on God’s strength to do so.
In addition to giving His people strength, God blesses them with peace. The peace of God comes as we rest in His strength. As we allow Him to be strong through us, His peace that surpasses all human understanding confounds our enemies. Chaos cannot prevail when the peace of God saturates our spirits, souls, and flesh. The Lord gives strength to His overcomers and His peace rests on the rock of their faith in Him.
Declare: “I believe that the Lord gives strength to overcome to those whose hearts are truly dedicated to Him. With a grateful heart, I receive His strength and peace. I shall prevail against all the darkness that has tried to bring chaos to my life and my family. In Him, I am an overcomer filled with His strength and peace. Praise the Lord!” Have a blessed and overcoming day in Jesus’ name.
