The Least of These

‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Matthew 25:40b

Dear Ones: The Least of These! Refers to those we meet on a daily basis through work, school, or in places of business. When we as Christians extend a helping and compassionate hand to others, we are also blessing the Lord with our actions. The Lord judges the intentions of our hearts. Even seemingly small acts of kindness are accounted to us as great from the Lord’s perspective.

A glass of water to a thirsty man. A ride home in the rain for a co-worker whose car broke down. Helping a friend with a small gift to see them through financial difficulties. These all seem to be mundane acts we do without even considering who is watching us. But the Lord sees and rewards according to His riches in glory. Our gracious Lord is always looking for reasons to release blessings and favor to us. Yes, even for the smallest acts of kindness. Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit and reflects His heart for others.

May the blessings of the Lord shower down upon you for all the kind acts you’ve done this week. He releases His favor to you and your family to enjoy the benefits of His kindness returned to you. Have a safe weekend. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
