The Hungry and Thirsty

 The Hungry and Thirsty

In this video we continue to study the Beatitudes and the next one is the Hungry and Thirsty. In Matthew 5 the Lord reveals the attributes of the blessed in the Beatitudes. My sister, Rosary, received the revelation that the Beatitudes are actually a progression of the soul as it becomes more Christ-like. We will study them with this in mind. Read this excerpt of the video transcript to get an idea of what it means to be spiritually hungry and thirsty. Driving hunger for righteousness and justice to prevail draws us closer to the Lord’s way of life. The deceitfulness of perversion makes us want to vomit out the lies that are constantly filling the airwaves. Here is an excerpt of the video transcript. I hope you watch the entire video. It is full of spiritual wisdom.

A desire for righteousness develops as the meek one allows the Lord more and more access to his soul.  The Vines Expository Dictionary says the word “righteousness” as Jesus used it means “whatever is right or just in itself, whatever conforms to the revealed will of God.”[1] There comes within our hearts a hunger, an overwhelming desire for righteousness. We become hungry for truth: we develop a dislike for lies, misinformation, and all manner of pretense.  If something is not pure and right, through and through, it becomes unacceptable to us. Even watching the news can be a hair-raising experience, as half-truths and out-and-out lies are presented as fact. Unclean and violent movies lose their appeal. Television shows and movies that glorify dark characters, such as zombies, vampires, and serial killers as well as gory storylines repulse the heart that is hungry for righteousness.

I hope you will view the video and use the scriptural references below the video to do your own study. The Spirit will guide you and lead you to the verses that will inspire you to desire further intimacy with HIM.
