The Good Work Within

And I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until his task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns.
Philippians 1:6 (TLB)

Dear Ones: The Good Work Within! What is this good work that is being done within us? Paul explains it this way in Romans 12:1-2, NLT. “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

The internal work of the Spirit is the renewing of the soul: mind, will, and emotions. This renewal process is activated by the outpouring of His grace. Grace is His enabling power to know and to do His will. We begin to see things from His perspective. The enemy can no longer fool us with his lies because we see things through the eyes of Christ. The good work within us is changing us to be more like our King every day. Following the guidance of the Holy Spirit enables us to make great progress toward our goal of Christlikeness.

Declaration: “I choose to fully cooperate with the Holy Spirit Who is doing the good work within me. The mind of Christ is activated in me so I can see the truth of the situations that confront me today. I am the head and not the tail because I am an overcomer through Christ Who lives in me. I am a good work in progress. Praise the Lord.” Have a blessed day in Jesus’ name.
