The Angel of the Lord

For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him. … Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!
Psalm 37:7; Hebrews 13:2 (NLT)

Dear One: The Angel of the Lord is a guard! Did you realize that you have angels guarding you and defending you wherever you go? These angelic guardians are a manifestation of our loving and caring Father. Just like a natural parent wants their children safe and protected, our heavenly Father has ordered His angels to guard over His children. Angels are at work around you continually. Yes, even now as you read this blog.

Sometimes our angel guards are allowed to interact with us. The verse from Hebrews encourages us to be hospitable to strangers because of this very reason. Stories have been told by people who had such encounters. These encounters usually occured at times when the person was in trouble. Be comforted by this knowledge and keep them in mind in these dangerous times. We are to surely thank our Father for our heavenly guards which are a reflection of His loving concern for our welfare.

May you be comforted by the Angel of the Lord who guards over you. Rejoice in your Father’s loving care as you rest in the knowledge of these spiritual guardians who go with you. Let your kindness to strangers spring forth from the knowledge that we are not alone or defenseless. Have a safe day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
