16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Dear Ones: Keeping with the theme of Thanksgiving, I share these exhortations from Paul to the Thessalonians. The instructions are to rejoice continually even as you pray. The mere fact that we can pray and that the LORD says that HE hears us is truly something to rejoice over. If we pray in accordance with HIS will as it is revealed in HIS Word, then we are certain that HE does hear us. (Check out 1 John 5:14-15.) If we know that HE hears us and that HE will give us what we ask for, then that is certainly reason to give thanks with great joy. Our GOD is a good, good God.
May the words of Paul’s exhortations linger in your minds today as you go about your professional duties. May the power of rejoicing as you give thanks to our LORD cause the cares of this world to fade in the presence of HIS brilliance. May the goodness and mercy of the LORD follow you all the days of your life. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
