Thank You, Lord, for Answered Prayer

Mary B. Dovie             June 25, 2022

Thank You, Lord, for answered prayer.

It was our part, in faith, to declare

Your authority over all the forces of darkness

Proclaiming your triumph in all of Your goodness.

Thank You, Lord, for the eyes of faith to see

The work of Your hands delivering the victory.

Patience walked us through the years of delay

To keep us steadfast in your ways to pray.

For our nation was bound by this wicked decision

We were shackled with grief as if in a prison.

So many precious lives lost to arrogance & pride

By seven who chose death and believed a lie.

But the Jubilee has come; a nation set free

Honoring the pre-born with shouts of victory.

As the people declare, “No, never again!

Their lives are precious for the Lord has ordained.”

We thank you again for this time of release

But the dark one’s fury rises disturbing the peace.

So, we continue on our knees in prayer

To revive the people, keeping them from despair.

This enormous battle’s been won, but the war still rages.

The dark one is after our guns & so he rampages

Using the deluded and deceived to do his evil deeds

But salvation in Christ is what they truly need.

We The People, thank you again Lord for your hand of deliverance.

As your Christian Republic this nation was not formed by chance.

By Your hand we’re now given a great mission & godly destiny

To walk in the Founder’s faith again reclaiming our legacy.

With great shouts of joy, thanksgiving, and praise

We sing heavenly anthems to You, our voices do raise.

As we honor Your faithfulness to a nation who strayed

We begin again to walk with You in righteousness this day.
