Because of you, I know the path of life, as I taste the fullness of joy in your presence. At your right side I experience divine pleasures forevermore!
Dear Ones: Taste the Fullness! In this psalm, David is singing about the hope of the faithful ones who trust in the Lord God. David realized that in order to know his path of life [life God’s way] he needed to enter into His presence. God’s testimony about David is found in Acts 13:22, “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.” Because of this David was able to taste the fullness of joy living in His presence. Was David a perfect man? No, but he was quick to repent when his heart was convicted of wrongdoing.
Let us pursue the heart of our Lord like David did. He has a plan for each of our lives and desires that we are filled with joy. There are experiences waiting for us in His presence. The Lord does not distance Himself from us. He desires to draw us close to Himself as described in Isaiah 40:11, NASB. “Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, In His arm He will gather the lambs And carry them in the fold of His robe; He will gently lead the nursing ewes.”
The Lord is our gentle shepherd. He tends to our needs and protects us from the enemy of our souls. If we will seek His heart, then He will draw us close: close enough to be enfolded in His garments. He wants to lead us on our unique path of life that He planned for us before time began.
May you taste the fullness of joy in His presence today. Cast your cares upon Him. Let Him draw you close to His heart and comfort you in His arms. It is time to experience the divine pleasures He has prepared for you. Come and sit with Him at His table and be filled today. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
