Still Be Standing

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
Ephesians 6:12-13 (NLT)

Dear Ones: Still be Standing! There is an ongoing war between the darkness and the Light. The darkness wants to put everything in bondage with the goal to steal, kill, and destroy life. But the Light—the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus—comes to set people free from the law of sin and death. (See Romans 8:2.) Yes, they will still be standing and will continue to stand in victory.

We see the open warfare on the media and think that the war is somewhere across the globe. But in truth every person, whether Christian or not, are living in a battlefield. The mind is a personal battlefield where the darkness and the Light clash. If the enemy can rule your thoughts, then he can destroy you through depression, anxiety, fear, strife, and other means. That is why it is important to plant the Word of God deep into your heart because Light always drives out darkness.

You will hear many reports about what the agents of darkness are doing. The constant barrage of such words attempts to diminish the power of God in our thinking. This is an old tactic of the enemy for in the Garden, the evil one accused God of lying to Adam and Eve about the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. But the way to short-circuit these evil thoughts and plans of the enemy is to rehearse over and over again scriptures that declare the greatness of the power of God. When you do this, you will still be standing strong after the battle has been won.

Declare today that you will still be standing firm as you successfully resist the attacks of darkness for yourself, your family, and your nation. Be encouraged with this verse from 2 Corinthians 1:20, AMP. “For as many as are the promises of God, in Christ they are [all answered] ‘Yes.’ So through Him we say our “Amen” to the glory of God.” Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
