Snatch Them Away

27 My sheep recognize my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life and they shall never perish. No one shall snatch them away from me
John 10:27-28 (TLB)

Dear Ones: Snatch Them Away! The Lord Jesus is the Good Shepherd and knows how to protect His flock. His flock is made up of those who acknowledge Him as Lord and follow His commands. This is not a superficial relationship, but one built on mutual love and devotion.

As our Good Shepherd, He knows that the wolves of darkness continually launch raids against His followers. These attacks are meant to snatch them away and out of His hands. But He is our Divine Protector who is ever watchful over His followers. Our Savior is like David who fought the lion and the bear to protect his father’s sheep. However, Colossians 1:13, NCV, reveals the greater level of our deliverance. “God has freed us from the power of darkness, and he brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”

Through the Cross we attain citizenship in the Kingdom of the Son. As our Divine Protector, He uses all the resources of His kingdom to keep us out of the snares and traps of the dark one and his minions. Psalm 23:5-6, NCV, confirms this to us. “You prepare a meal for me in front of my enemies. You pour oil of blessing on my head; you fill my cup to overflowing. Surely your goodness and love will be with me all my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.”

Believe the Lord’s words today that no one can snatch them away from Me. His power is greater than the attacks that have been launched against you, your family, and your nation. Let the words of 1 John 4:4, NKJV, comfort you today. “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
