Shape Your Worries into Prayers

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Philippians 4:6-7 (MSG)

Dear Ones: Shape Your Worries into Prayers!  What marvelous advice! When we do this the atmosphere changes and a sense of wholeness displaces despair and hopelessness. In His Sermon on the Mount, the Master specifically instructs us not to worry. Matthew 6:34, MSG, confirms. “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.”

We waste energy and time when we allow worry to occupy our minds. Worry takes our attention away from the things of God and the work of the Cross. Instead of living as overcomers through Christ, worry turns us into victims: victims of things not yet materialized. The voice of the enemy comes to say, “But what if this happens?”  “What if” does not exist in your now. Be confident that the Master will bring you out of the hard times because He is able to do it.

Declare: “I will follow these instructions to shape your worries into prayers. The enemy of worry is not allowed to play the “what if” game in my mind. I know the Master is able to see me through whatever hard things come up every day. Prayer is a weapon I use to defeat worry. It brings in the peace of the Lord because I know He hears me and answers me. Praise the Lord!” I bless you in Jesus’ name.
