Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
Dear Ones: See the Glory! The Lord commanded that the stone be rolled away from Lazarus’ tomb. This was offensive because Lazarus was dead four days. But they obeyed Him and He raised Lazarus up from that grave. He told Martha to believe that she would see the glory of the Lord that day. And she did!
Sometimes it seems that our hopes and dreams are as dead as Lazarus lying in that tomb. The enemy will chide you with tormenting words of failure and loss. However, he is the consummate liar who cannot tell the truth. Truth is not in his nature. His whole attack is aimed at getting you frustrated enough to walk away from the promises of God. If you read Martha’s prior conversation with the Lord, then you will hear in her voice the acceptance of the victory of death. But the Lord told her that He is the Resurrection and the Life to build up her faith.
The Lord came to Bethany to specifically raise Lazarus up from the grave to demonstrate that He is the Resurrection. What He did that day stands through eternity as a testament of His power over death. It also reminds us that there is nothing too hard for Him. Our part is to believe and trust that He wants to resurrect what the enemy has declared dead and buried.
When He gives us hopes and dreams of greater things in our lives, the enemy is always there trying to tear at our faith. But if we will believe, we shall see the glory of God openly manifested in our lives. We have been given the keys to the Kingdom to do the Kingdom work assigned to us. Resurrection power is available to us as we revisit the desires of our hearts to do His will in our lives.
May your faith rise up to expect to see the glory. Resurrection day is coming to your heart and home. It is never too late if you will believe as He instructed Martha to do so long ago. You are His special treasure and wants only the best for you. Rise up and believe that He is able, today. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
