Now on Rumble: Sardis—The Message
Paul is continuing to move our videos off of YouTube and onto Rumble. This is a precautionary measure because YouTube has been known to be unfriendly to the Christian posters on their site.
In this lesson we study the Lord’s message to Sardis. Sardis was one of the two churches that only received rebukes and no commendations. He began His rebuke by saying, “I know your works.” The Sardis church had a name or reputation that indicated they were alive and living for the Lord, but it was contradicted by the deadness of their faith. These believers had wandered away from the true teachings of Christ and were resting on the reputation they earned when they once were on fire with the truth of the Word. This certainly is a relevant message for the Church-at-large to consider today.
Here is an excerpt from the video transcript to encourage you to watch the video.
As we study this message, we need to put ourselves in the Lord’s place to fully understand the impact of what He is saying to the Sardis believers and to the Church universal for all time.
“Is there not a cause to fight for?” as David said 1 Samuel 17:29. Yes, there is! It is the consummation of the Great salvation plan that the Father set in motion back in the Garden of Eden. The Lord Jesus finished His work on the Cross to provide the cleansing sacrifice for the sin of mankind. Now the Church (in obedience to the will of the Holy Spirit) is to do her part to enforce His victory and occupy until the Lord comes again. Therefore, every individual member of the Body must be about our Father’s business to become conformed to the image of the Son.
I respectfully ask you to please watch and share this video. It is vitally important to share what the Holy Spirit is saying to believers in this hour. A simple share to one of the groups you subscribe to will do a lot to get the videos out.
In addition, I hope you will use the references below the video as a jumping off point for your personal study. The Spirit will guide you and lead you.
