Right on Time

Dear Ones: Right on Time! Though the Lord God lives outside of time, He has set appointed times when dealing with mankind. In these verses, He is instructing the prophet to write what he sees. This tells us that true prophets see what lies ahead. It may seem slow in coming but that does not mean it is not true. In the waiting time faith and hope work to strengthen the heart of those who wait on the Lord.

When we search the Scriptures, we find many promises made to the ones who wait patiently on the Lord. For example, Psalm 27:14 tells us, “Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” The waiting process is uncomfortable for this instant thirsty generation. Instant coffee, microwave dinners, and the internet all feed the thirst for instant gratification. There are many other examples of course, but we can discern that patiently waiting is not something this culture fosters.

When we trust the Lord’s timing and His ability to make His plans come to pass, then He is always right on time. Though the timing is not as we might imagine it to be, it is perfect for His plans to work out. At the appointed time, Christ was born. The prophetic words given in the Scriptures were fulfilled concerning His first advent. And so, it will be concerning the words given about His second coming. Trust Him and know His timing is perfect.

Believe that our God is greater than all the forces of darkness. His plans are working, and they are right on time. Yes, His timing for your life, your family, and your nation are right on time. Listen for Holy Spirit guidance and believe that He is faithful and true to do good for you. It is a good day to spend time in His presence. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
