Prisoners of Hope

Return to the stronghold [of security and prosperity], you prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you.
Zachariah 9:12 (AMPC)

Dear Ones: Prisoners of Hope! Yes, let hope in the Lord captivate your soul. Faith and Hope travel together. Hebrews 11:1, NKJV, confirms, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hope looks to the future and faith draws on hope to bring the desires of your heart into the “now.”

When you reside in the stronghold of His glorious presence, your hope and faith are activated from a place of security and prosperity. This is extremely good news. This means that the resources you need in your everyday life are not dependent on the world’s resources, but on the Lord’s. In fact, His promise to those who make Him their refuge is to restore double to you.

The current culture is constantly talking lack and shortage. You hear these fear-mongering words every day. But there is the example of Isaac who planted during times of widespread famine and prospered in Genesis 26:12-13, NLT. “When Isaac planted his crops that year, he harvested a hundred times more grain than he planted, for the Lord blessed him. He became a very rich man, and his wealth continued to grow.”

Decide today to become prisoners of Hope in the Lord. Let the goodness of the Lord captivate your thoughts. Read about Isaac’s prosperity and the way God provided for Israel in the wilderness. You are important to Him! His desire is to restore double to you for what the enemy has stolen illegally. Activate your hope and faith as you rest in the stronghold of His presence. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
