Praise is Beautiful

Hallelujah! It’s a good thing to sing praise to our God; praise is beautiful, praise is fitting.
Psalm 147:1 (MSG)

Dear Ones: Praise is Beautiful! In 1828 Mr. Webster defined beautiful this way: Having the qualities which constitute beauty, or that which pleases the senses other than the sight; as a beautiful sound. Our praises please the senses of the Godhead as they go up as a beautiful sound. There is a mystery in how this happens that goes far beyond our common understanding of beauty.

Words are powerful. The evidence of this is found in Genesis chapter one when the Lord God said, “Let there be!” Isaiah 55:11, NKJV, confirms the power of the spoken word. “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

When we use our words to sing praises to our God, it releases a pleasing sound that brings pleasure to Him. How is its beauty expressed? Is it possible that musical frequencies in the spiritual realm manifest in brilliant light explosions? We will find out one day. But we know for sure that our praise is beautiful in God’s eyes.

Declaration: “When I open my mouth to praise Him, He sees my praise is beautiful, sincere, and fitting. My praise is also a weapon against the forces of darkness. It changes the atmosphere around me. I am a praiser and an atmosphere changer. Praise the Lord!” Have a beautiful day as you take time to praise Him this weekend.
