Perseverance

Dear Ones: While fighting off an ungodly attack that was trying to destroy my day, I heard perseverance. So, I asked the Holy Spirit what He meant by persevering in the face of an ungodly attack. This is what He said:

Perseverance

My child, a warrior, does not learn to fight by reading a book or watching a video. He may use these things to learn about the technical aspects of his weapon. But it does not end there. He must use his weapon in conflict to master it and to use it effectively.

The swordsman of yesterday and your military today, constantly train with their weapons. To the swordsman, his sword becomes a part of him in a real sense. To the infantryman his rifle and knife become like added appendages.

So, why am I telling you these things? The Sword of the Spirit is far greater than mere physical weapons. It is not only your mighty weapon, but also your Trainer.

SWORD = The Spirit + The Word

Without the Spirit, the Word becomes legalistic and sterile. Spirit without the Word leaves you open to false voices mimicking My Spirit. The synergy of the Spirit and the Word releases great power. It is a mighty weapon, but the hand of faith must wield it. Otherwise, the power becomes inert.

Perseverance in Training

At your rebirth, you were gifted with mighty spiritual weapons. But how long it takes to train and to use them depends on your willingness to fight. Too many in My church are taught to accept every negative thing the enemy tries to put on them. So, their weapons are unused or rarely used. The determination to stand and rebuke the forces of darkness in faith is relegated to a once-in-awhile activity. If the enemy does not flee swiftly, then a “I guess it doesn’t work” mentality takes hold.

You asked Me about Perseverance in the face of an ungodly attack. Perseverance is an offspring of Faith. Active Faith joined with Hope birth Perseverance. This is the staying power born of Hope and Faith. It focuses only on victory and never on the adverse circumstances of the moment. Perseverance is prophetic in that it sees the future victory and runs to meet it. Time becomes irrelevant as Faith calls those things that be not as though they already exist.

Remember to Persevere

Remember, you are of God, My little ones. For the greater One lives in you than he who lives in the worldly ones. Hope looks to the future. And Faith gives substance to things hoped for. Perseverance is born of Hope and Faith. It gives the warrior staying power to swing his sword with deadly accuracy against the ungodly attacks of darkness.

Meditate on these things. Believe and win every battle. I leave you My peace and blessings. Shalom. [BTW: I won. Praise the LORD!]

and you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary
