Our Words and Actions

Our Words and Actions! We pick up our study of the Sermon on the Mount to explore our personal accountability concerning our Words and Actions using the Lord’s teachings as our standard. Here is an excerpt of the video transcript which has much food for thought. I encourage you to watch the entire video.

It is the natural way to want to strike back at those who attack us whether verbally or physically. However, we are of the Kingdom of Light and we are children of Light and cannot behave like those who are steeped in darkness. We cannot become like the worldly ones. We are to shine His Light into the dark world around us so that they may see the Jesus in us. Martin Luther King put it most succinctly when he said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
