Christ himself is our peace. He made both Jewish people and those who are not Jews one people. They were separated as if there were a wall between them, but Christ broke down that wall of hate by giving his own body.
Dear Ones: One People! As we observe the strange happenings going on around us, it is quite obvious that a wall of hate is being built. Christians need to be aware of the consequences of joining in with this hate speech. This verse gives us the reason why we should avoid demonizing the Jewish people. In Christ the wall of hate was broken down. He joined Jew and Gentile into one people through the work of the Cross.
No nation on earth is perfect. But there are lines that should not be crossed. When college age people call for another holocaust, they are falling into the same trap the Nazi’s setup before WWII. When the Christians kept silent, Hitler entrapped a nation by building a wall of hate. The idea was to separate a group (the Jews) and blame everything on them. But Christians and Jews have been joined together in and through Christ, so we should not be fooled by such doctrines of hate.
Consider carefully the truth that in Christ. Christians and Jews are no longer separate but one people in Christ. Pray for all nations but especially for the Jewish people to recognize and receive their Messiah. God promised to bless those who bless the land of His inheritance—Israel. Enjoy being grafted into the Holy Vine as an overcomer in Christ. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
