If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.
Dear Ones: No Evil will Conquer! This psalm of David is always relevant but even more so as the darkness of the hour increases. If we choose to believe that the Lord is our refuge and shelter in times of trouble, then no evil will conquer us. It is a choice each of us has to make and determine to stick with. When we trust in the Lord’s ability to protect us, then the angels are activated on our behalf.
It is important to note that David wrote this psalm. Throughout his life, he proved the truth of these words. David’s life was threatened by Israel’s enemies and his own people: King Saul. He ran for his life and dwelt in a cave because he was a hunted man. But this psalm reveals how David survived all of it. He chose to make the Lord his refuge and shelter. Eventually, David sat on the throne of Israel. He was not a perfect man, but God had anointed and chosen him for the job. The Lord’s testimony about David was that he was a man who was after God’s own heart.
Declare today that no evil will conquer you because you have made the Lord your refuge and shelter. Speak this over yourself, your family, and your nation. Do not let fear rule you when the enemy comes threatening another plague. His angels are activated and will protect you. Consider these things today as you go about your daily life. You are an overcomer. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
