Rise up, O Lord, in all your power. With music and singing we celebrate your mighty acts.
Dear Ones: Mighty Acts! David sang about the mighty works of the Lord. The title to this psalm is, “Joy in the Salvation of the Lord.” Although David faced many challenges from foreign enemies and from his own family, he overcame them. He depended on the Lord God to deliver him in all his troubles.
We can call on the Lord (yes, even today) to rise up in all of His power. Praise and worship are powerful weapons that release our faith in a unique way. If we sing of His greatness while we are in the midst of the storm, then the storm’s power cannot overwhelm us. Rehearsing how He delivered us in the past is called our testimony. The Word tells us that we overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.
There is power in our testimonies. The might of His hand is drawn to our celebration of His goodness to us in the past and expectation of it in the here and now. By doing this we acknowledge our faith in His power and might to deliver us from every attack of the dark one and his minions.
May you rehearse the mighty acts He has done for you, your family, and your nation today. Let words of praise rise up from your heart to thank your All-Powerful God for deliverance. Whatever storm you may face today must diminish as He rises up in all power on your behalf. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
