Dear Ones: His Banner! David’s words are complemented by Solomon’s words that give us a fuller understanding of our table provisions. Not only does the Lord provide us with everything we need to defeat our enemies, but He places His banner over us which signifies His unfailing love. When a national flag is planted over…

Faith Into Practice
Dear Ones: Faith into Practice! The Spirit of Faith is not idle or a noble idea. (See 2 Corinthians 4:13.) It is the impetus that moves us to act in alignment with His teachings. When faith is put into practice then the love of Christ finds expression through our acts. Our love labor works through…
Kind Words
Dear Ones: Kind Words! Kindness is one of the fruits of the Spirit enumerated in Galatian 5:22-23. Therefore, when we utter kind words into the atmosphere, we are changing it for it good. They bring the attributes of His nature into the immediate situation that we are dealing with. Like honey, they carry a healing…
Bold Confidence
Dear Ones: Bold Confidence! This verse is a companion to Hebrews 4:16, VOICE. “So let us step boldly to the throne of grace, where we can find mercy and grace to help when we need it most.” These verses inspire the attribute of boldness of spirit when we pray. Our boldness is not birthed from…
Artesian Spring
Dear Ones: Artesian Spring! An artesian spring is a natural spring where groundwater is forced to the surface by pressure from confined aquifers. These types of water sources do not need a pump. The water bubbles up to the surface because of the pressures created when water is trapped between impermeable rock layers. The Master…
Rivers in the Desert
Dear Ones: Rivers in the Desert! David’s petition for help is seemingly answered by God through Isaiah. Therefore, it is appropriate to…

Self-Control
Dear Ones: Self-Control! Is a fruit of the Spirit. The spiritual fruits listed in Galatians 5:22-23 are actually the characteristics of the divine nature. Peter confirms to us in 2 Peter 1:4b, NCV. “With these gifts you can share in God’s nature, and the world will not ruin you with its evil desires.” When the…
Righteousness will yield Peace
Dear Ones: Righteousness will yield Peace! Pastor Hank, my pastor in New Orleans, defined righteousness this way: to do right and to be right with God. Holy Spirit, our Teacher, comes to instruct us how to live righteous lives. Romans 14:17, GNT, confirms to us. “For God’s Kingdom is not a matter of eating and…
