You enlarge the path beneath me and make my steps secure, So that my feet will not slip.
Dear Ones: Make My Steps Secure! As the days of January pass swiftly into history, we can depend on the Lord to make our steps secure in Him. There is so much uncertainty and confusion swirling around us, but the Lord knows the path that will lead us safely through.
His plan for our lives lays a sure foundational path for us to follow. When we seek Him, He guides our steps as revealed in Psalm 37:23. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.” When we follow His guidance, He leads us around the snares and traps set by the enemy. The Word of God is a lamp unto our feet so we will know which way to go.
The new year is new to us, but the Lord has already traveled through history before us. He desires that we follow Him on the path He set for our lives. He has even given us angelic protection as revealed in Hebrews 1:14. “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” Our God has made many great provisions to secure our steps to keep us out of the enemy’s clutches.
Pray this way: “Lord, make my steps secure throughout the turmoil of this new year. Keep me from the snares of evil men. Enlarge my path so that I might not stumble.” Then believe in His Word and His faithfulness to perform His Word. Have a safe day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
