Love Each Other Deeply

You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart.
1 Peter 1:22 (NLT)

Dear Ones: Love Each Other Deeply! Peter is reinforcing the Lord’s command to love one another. In John 13:34-35, NKJV, the Master reveals how the world will know we belong to Him.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Therefore, we can conclude that deep love for each other is the hallmark of a true believer in Christ.

Why is it important to continually remind ourselves of the importance of our love walk? Because it was a command given to us by the Master and restated in many ways in the Epistles to the Church. This important commandment has been marginalized by our westernized Christian culture. Even church leadership are not following through to teach its importance or practice the God-kind of love Christ commanded us to express. Church politics has ascended in priority while the love walk has been relegated to helping the poor and homeless. While gossip, backbiting, and disorder is glossed over as long as tithes are paid.

He Commanded Us to Love Each Other

It is time to walk away from the status quo and return to following the Master’s command to love each other deeply. Genuine concern for the brethren is to be the order of the day. Religious bullies are not to be tolerated and petted while other members suffer their childish antics. Its time for mature Christians to arise and demonstrate the hallmark of true Christianity in our midst and to the world.

Declaration: “I choose to follow the Lord’s command to love each other deeply. Holy Spirit, help me to love those who are acting unlovingly toward me and my family. I turn these ones over to the Lord for He is able to correct them. In turn, I will follow my King and walk as an overcomer to bring glory to His name. Praise the Lord!” Have a love filled day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
