Look and be Amazed

Dear Ones: Look and be Amazed! The prophet cried out to the Lord God concerning the dismal state of affairs of his nation. There was violence and corruption all around. Habakkuk questioned God if his prayers were even heard, then God responded with these words.

We can relate to Habakkuk’s situation because we are facing similar things in the current state of affairs of our nation. But we are to take heart at the Lord’s response to the prophet’s cry. We also have the comforting words of 1 Peter 3:12. “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” The prayers of the righteous ones reach the ears of the Lord. He is constantly working to do good for those who call on His name, although His works may be done covertly.

Look and be Amazed

However, there comes a time when He openly demonstrates His power to the world. That is why He said to look and be amazed. It must be done in His timing. But when it is time, God will do only what He can do. Remember, the splitting of the Red Sea and the falling of the walls of Jericho. So, we can be assured that He is going to do something in our lifetimes that will amaze and astound the world.

Take God’s response to Habakkuk cry as His response to your wholehearted prayers for yourself, your family and your nation. Keep expecting to look and be amazed as His hand moves in response to your prayers. His power has not diminished. Take comfort from the words of Romans 8:31, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Have an amazing day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
