Like a Rushing Stream

So they will fear the name of the Lord from the west And His glory from the rising of the sun, For He will come like a rushing stream Which the wind of the Lord drives.
Isaiah 59:19 (NASB)

Dear Ones: Like a Rushing Stream! When the Lord comes in answer to our prayers, He does not come limping in, but in power. Yes, in power like a mighty rushing stream or river. We have seen videos that show the power of rushing water as they flood the lands. Raging rivers breach levees and carry away houses and bridges. It is an awesome sight.

But when the Lord comes in His glory in answer to our prayers, the minions of darkness are the ones driven out by His mighty power. The glory of the Lord rides on the Winds of His Spirit restoring and delivering those who call on His name. When we see and experience the goodness of His delivering hand, we shall reverence His name and the awesome power of His glory.

David cried out in Psalm 7:6, GNT, seeking the Lord’s help against his enemies. “Rise in your anger, O Lord! Stand up against the fury of my enemies; rouse yourself and help me! Justice is what you demand.” No matter what form the enemy takes—armed forces or sicknesses—like David we are to call upon the Lord to help us and to deliver us from evil. The fury of the forces of darkness are no match against the power of God.

Believe today that the Lord will come to help you like a rushing stream. Realize that what is attacking you cannot withstand or defeat the power of His glory that comes to rescue you. Listen and hear the sound of the Wind of Spirit coming in answer to your prayers. It is a good day to believe in the power of His goodness. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
