My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality. It’s also the way to shut down debilitating self-criticism, even when there is something to it. For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves.
Dear Ones: Let’s Practice Real Love! What a statement! Our love walk is how the world will know that we are truly Christ’s disciples. This love walk also includes learning to love ourselves. One of the enemy’s main weapons against us is his tormenting, accusing, and demeaning voice. He whispers thoughts of debilitating self-criticism to fill us with remorse and pain so that we lose sight of who we are in Christ.
Let’s face it, we are all works in progress. As we travel our path in life, there are pitfalls and traps along the way. Sometimes we fall into one of them. We do not travel alone but with the Holy Spirit Who was sent to teach us how to be more Christlike on our journey. The Father’s plans for our lives take these things into account because He knows our beginning and our end. As we learn to be quick to repent when the Holy Spirit conviction comes, then the voice of the tormentor and accuser loses its power. Let’s practice real love toward others and toward ourselves. Then we will be imitating Christ.
Declaration: “I will take the words, “let’s practice real love,” as words to live by every day. I want to see myself the way my Father sees me: covered under the cleansing Blood of Christ. Today, I vow to be quick to repent when I feel His convicting power. He is my loving Father and has great plans for me, my family, and my nation. I am truly blessed and loved.” Have a blessed day in Jesus’ name.
