Let Me Hear

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.
Psalm 143:8 (NLT)

Dear Ones: Let Me Hear! David wrote this psalm as an earnest appeal for guidance and deliverance. Every morning upon waking, he listened for the voice of the Lord to direct his day. David’s enemies pursued him before and after he was king. He had many opportunities to experience God’s saving power to deliver him from adverse situations. God’s testimony of David’s faithfulness to Him is found in Acts 13:22b, NLT. “I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do.”

In this verse, you find evidence of how David became a man who sought the heart of God. You can follow his example by starting your day asking God to give you ears to hear His voice confessing His unfailing love for you. In return, you respond to Him by declaring your complete trust in Him, committing to follow His directions for the day. Finally, give Him your heart of love because He loved you first. When you do this, it will affect your entire day as you follow His guidance. Also, this will greatly enhance your spiritual growth and the knowledge of His will.

Declaration: “Let me hear Your voice, Lord, every morning and throughout the day. I trust in Your goodness to guide my steps around the traps set by the enemy. My heart belongs to you. I am an overcomer. Praise the Lord!” I bless you in Jesus’ name.
