Lend Us a Hand

Join us in this work. Lend us a hand through prayer so that many will give thanks for the gift that comes to us when God answers the prayers of so many.
2 Corinthians 1:11 (VOICE)

Dear One: Lend us a hand! Paul and his company needed help because their safety was in jeopardy. They needed the prayers of the saints to help them. He invited the Corithian believers to join with them in their ministry work through the prayer. Paul knew that if they prayed God would answer their prayers. And they would rejoice because they got what they prayed for.

Paul’s request for prayer is alive today. Since the Word of God is alive and powerful, when we pray, we join in with the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and the lives of others. The call of the true church to all believes is, “Come, lend us a hand through prayer to do Kingdom work.” Every born-again, spirit-filled believer has a call and a destiny to function as a member of the Body of Christ.

Some may say, “I cannot travel all over the nation to join in every meeting or conference.” Praying in the Spirit for the work of the Kingdom to be accomplished does not necessarily mean physical travel. As we pray in the Spirit, the Spirit knows who needs the help and uses us to utter prayers in a heavenly language. In a most real sense, we answer the call of the Body of Christ to lend them a hand.

Let Paul’s request to “lend us a hand” awaken you to the fact that your prayer life is powerful. If you are not sure how to pray, then pray in your heavenly prayer language some time during the day. You may never know who you are helping. But be assured that someone like the Apostle Paul needs the prayers of the saints to help them. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
