Now on Rumble: Laying on of Hands

In this lesson we pursue the study of Laying on of Hands—one of the principles of the doctrine of Christ as listed in Hebrews 6:1-2. This principle is often used when praying for the sick to recover through the power that works in believers. It is supernatural and should be used at the direction of the Spirit of God.

2 Timothy 1:6-7, NLT
The principle of laying on of hands allows the believer to participate in a physical activity that imparts supernatural qualities. The act of touching someone or something is accomplished hundreds of times a day in the course of our natural lives. However, through the power of the Holy Spirit, the principle of laying on of hands enables supernatural tasks to be accomplished: ordination into ministry, impartation of blessings, healings, transfer of anointing, and receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
In (Matthew 10:7-8, NLT) Jesus instructs His disciples, “Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!” The Holy Spirit wants to work through our hands to impart healing, thus fulfilling the command of the Lord Jesus. The power is available to us as obedient children of God. Through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, we have our prayer language and a way to be continually recharged with the power of the Spirit. As He operates through our hands, we have the grand opportunity to participate in His supernatural exploits.
