I will fix My Mind

I will fix my mind on Your instructions and my eyes on Your path.
Psalm 119:15 (VOICE)

Dear Ones: I Will Fix My Mind! That is to meditate on the Lord’s words of instruction for living an overcoming life. Psalm 119 is the longest song that is broken up into sections according to the Hebrew alphabet. The heading given to it in the NKJV is “Meditations on the Excellencies of the Word of God.” Meditation is an act of our will where we fix our mind on a particular thing. By continually rehearsing the Word of God in our minds, we plant seeds of its life-giving power into our spirits, souls, and bodies.

In Philippians 4:8, TLB, Paul reminds Christians to meditate on the Word this way. “And now, brothers, as I close this letter, let me say this one more thing: Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.” When we follow these instructions our vision for the present and the future becomes locked into God’s plans for our lives, ministry, families, and our nation.

I Will Fix My Mind on Good Things

If we choose to fix our minds on all of the negative and evil activities of the dark one, then our focus is turned away from God’s plans for our lives. Meditating on darkness plants seeds of darkness in our threefold being doing much harm in the long run. Just because the MSM is promoting the advancement of evil, it does not mean we have to fix our minds on their words. We are to remember that the Lord walks with us through the valley of death to the other side as overcomers.

Declare today: “I will fix my mind on the promises revealed to me in the Word of God. He said that He would never forsake me, and I believe Him. I place myself, my family, my job, and my nation into His hands. Like Isaac, I will prosper even in times of famine because His favor is upon me. I am an overcomer and return His love with a grateful heart. Praise the Lord!” Have a wonderful week enjoying His favor and protection. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
