1 Kings 18:44 (NCV) The seventh time, the servant said, “I see a small cloud, the size of a human fist, coming from the sea.” Elijah told the servant, “Go to Ahab and tell him to get his chariot ready and go home now. Otherwise, the rain will stop him.” Zechariah 4:10a (NCV) The people should not think that small beginnings are unimportant.
Dear Ones: I see a small cloud! Was the servant’s cry to Elijah. By faith Elijah knew that small cloud indicated the coming drought breaking rain. It was an important sign from God. We often look for great sweeping happenings to change things for us. But in truth, the small beginnings of change come so our faith can rise up.
Before a dam collapses, small cracks appear. These are followed by bigger cracks. Finally, the dam is busted, and the water comes crashing through sweeping over the land moving houses, trees, and bridges. Your faith filled prayers and declarations are causing cracks to appear in that mountain you need to move. A little progress is just the start, so don’t stop there. Keep going back like Elijah sent his servant seven (7) times to check for a cloud.
May you see a small cloud heralding the coming abundance of rain (blessings) in your life. Do not despise small beginnings because the small acorn can become an oak tree. Let your faith rise up today as you press in to receive all that the Lord has for you. Have an awesome and safe 4th of July celebration with your family. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
