I Chose You

You did not choose me; I chose you. And I gave you this work: to go and produce fruit, fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you anything you ask for in my name.

John 15:16 (NCV)

Dear Ones: I Chose You! Are the Lord’s words. He called you to Himself; saved you; and gave you a Kingdom assignment to produce good fruit. Wow! That was a mouthful. But it is truth. I love the book of John especially chapters 14 through 17. These are Lord’s instructions and prayer that John recorded as the Spirit brought them back to his remembrance. When you read the direct quotes from the Master’s lips, begin to read them as if He was speaking directly to you. This changes your perspective and draws you deeper into an intimate relationship with Him.

Sometimes we wonder how could He choose me? I was not born when He said this. But the ways of the Lord are higher than our ways. He knows the end from the beginning. He told Jeremiah that before he was formed in his mother’s womb, He ordained him to be a prophet. (See Jeremiah 1:5.) He has great plans for you to prosper you to give you hope and a future. (See Jeremiah 29:11.) Since the word says He is not biased nor does He play favorites, what He says to one child of God is for all. Just receive His word and claim it for yourself.

May His words, “I Chose You!” resound in your soul through this day and the weekend. Ask the Father in His name and expect to receive. His answer will be in accord with His great plans for your life, your family, and your nation. He loves you with an everlasting love. Remember, He chose you and loved you first. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
