Hushed the Storm

He hushed the storm to a gentle whisper, So that the waves of the sea were still.
Psalm 107:29 (AMP)

Dear Ones: Hushed the Storm! The enemy enjoys bombarding your mind with fear and worry just as you are trying to go to sleep. These attacks are like a hurricane blowing in and bring chaos and sleeplessness. But you have the word of God to use against this onslaught of negativity. Meditate on this verse when the enemy attacks your mind. Believe He is able to hush the swirling thoughts and calm your spirit.

When the Lord Jesus stood up in the boat and commanded the wind to stop, He knew the power of this verse. He used the Word of God to break through the assault of the storm. This had to be a very powerful and frightening storm to cause even seasoned fishermen to fear for their lives. But the storm could not prevail against the Word.

You have the Word in written form and living in you, if you are a Christian. Use your voice to speak to the circumstances that war against you, your family, and your nation. In Luke 10:19 you have been given the right to exercise His authority over all the power of darkness. Use it to hush the voice of the tormentor and deceiver. Believe that in Him you are more than a conqueror. It is a good day to mute the voice of the enemy and break the back of the attack against you and yours.

May the words “He hushed the storm,” light up your soul today. Use the power of the Word against the enemy and sleep in peace. You do not have to accept those negative thoughts. Hush them, turn over, and have a restful night. You are the head and not the tail. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
