18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear Him [and worship Him with awe-inspired reverence and obedience], On those who hope [confidently] in His compassion and lovingkindness, 19 To rescue their lives from death And keep them alive in famine.
Dear Ones: The Psalmist is proclaiming the watchfulness of the LORD over those who worship HIM and Hope in HIS compassion to deliver them. There is Hope for the New Year ahead as we turn our faces to the LORD. But the dark one wants to threaten us with fear of the unknown. The evil one will use fear to project images of disaster waiting at the turn of the year. But those who are in Christ and know HIS nature, understand that the LORD has plans too and if we trust HIM then HE will rescue us from any dark plans plotted by the evil one.
May your Hope rest in HIS compassion and lovingkindness. May the Light of HIS presence dismantle and destroy all of the dark plans of the evil one over you, your family, HIS Church, and this nation.
