Hope for the New Year: Psalm 130

But your forgiving love is what makes you so wonderful. No wonder you are loved and worshiped! This is why I wait upon you, expecting your breakthrough, for your Word brings me hope. I long for you more than any watchman would long for the morning light. I will watch and wait for you, O God, throughout the night.

Psalm 130:4-6 (TPT)

Dear Ones: Here again the psalmist is declaring that the Word of the LORD brings Hope. The LORD is not a harsh taskmaster but a forgiving God Who never turns away a truly repentant heart. There is a breakthrough for those who wait upon HIM knowing that HE is faithful. HE is faithful even when we stumble. HE reaches down and lifts us up and restores, refreshes, and renews our souls.

May this new year bring great expectations of HIS goodness toward you and your family. May this season of Hope nurture endurance in your heart. May our Faithful Father give you all the desires of your heart. Have an overcoming day in the LORD. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
