As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage. Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset.
Dear Ones: Holding Up His Hands! Moses was the appointed leader of Israel, but he needed help from Aaron and Hur. These men were supporting the army engaged in battle by intercessory prayer to the Lord God. This is an example for us today.
It is not time to lower our hands thinking our prayer wall is no longer needed for the restoration of our nation. Look and see that the battle is still raging. Many people are speaking words encouraging violence because they did not get their way. They have a history of stirring up groups set on bringing chaos into our cities.
But believers are not powerless. Like Aaron and Hur, we are to stand with those who are in battlefield fighting to push back the darkness in this nation. They need our support to win back the nation and set her back on the right path.
Declaration: “Like Aaron and Hur holding up his hands, I am determined to keep my place on the prayer wall around our nation and our newly elected leaders. Let God arise and let His enemies be scattered. Thank You, Lord, for the win, but I know it is just the beginning of Your plans for America’s return to You. Help USa to pursue and recover all that You have planned for our destiny. Praise the Lord! Stand your ground and have a blessed day in Jesus’ name.
