14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.
Dear Ones: His Victory went beyond the grave and into the afterworld. He disarmed the dark ones and rulers that had lauded themselves over mankind since the fall. The victory won, He went into hell and took the keys of death, hell, and the grave from the dark one. This beatdown of the enemy of our souls is just as real as His crucifixion. HE is LORD.
Our slate is clean because of His complete work that rescued us from the clutches of darkness. Now we are to walk as children of the Light and partake of His Victory. Resurrection Day comes as the final sign of His complete victory and ours in Him.
