His Plan

We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. They are the people he called, because that was his plan. … I say this because I know what I am planning for you,” says the Lord. “I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future.”
Romans 8:28; Jeremiah 29:11 (NCV)

Dear Ones: His Plan! Yes, these two companion verses clearly lay out that God has a plan for your life. As a Christian you have been called to a unique path. This path does not lead to destruction but to become more like Christ every day. The path of the wicked leads to destruction but your path leads to Him and a good future.

We cannot go by what we see happening in this present age of darkness. We must look with the eyes of faith to see His plan unfolding in our lives. When Israel was facing the Red Sea, Moses went to the only One Who could deliver. Why did he do this? Because the Lord God had proven Himself faithful through the ten plagues to deliver them. The Lord God came through in a spectacular way as He instructed Moses to speak to the sea. They walked over on dry ground while their enemies were drowned when they tried to follow.

We see by this example that God’s plans may appear messy to us. But in the end, we are awe struck by His amazing ways of delivering us from troublous times. His plan is working on our job, in our personal relationships, and in our physical bodies. Our part is to believe and obey. In John 14:23 (NCV) Jesus tells us that, “If people love me, they will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”

May His plan for your life unfold swiftly as you obey His teachings. Meditate on these things this weekend. His plan is working to give you a hope and a future. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
